How To Use Weight loss Affirmations The Right Way
Every thought we think helps to create our future. Weight loss begins in the mind with positive thoughts.
Let’s learn how to create effective weight loss affirmations so you can start using them effectively.
Please don’t underestimate the power of affirmations that are done well. They can work for you!
Affirmations are a powerful way to create desired effects in your life. But only if you use them in the right way.
In fact, every thought and every word we say are affirmations. We continuously declare who we think we are and how we perceive our world. These words and thoughts create either positive or negative outcomes in our lives. Quite simple really!
What’s not so simple is undoing all the mess we have created for ourselves. But it can be done with the right positive affirmations, visualization, and persistence.
How and why affirmations can change your mind?
When we’re used to thinking or speaking a certain way for a period of time, it becomes buried as a habit in our subconscious minds. It becomes automatic. This creates who we are and how we behave.
For example, if you’re always thinking that losing weight is difficult or that you’ll never be able to lose weight, this becomes your reality. So, anything you do after that to lose weight usually fails. Or, only succeeds temporarily.
This can happen unintentionally.
So imagine what can happen when you intentionally set out to change your mind with positive affirmations.
Losing weight will become easier.
Try it faithfully every day and prove to yourself that it works.
How to create effective affirmations for weight loss
Affirmations must be formulated in a certain way or they won’t be effective.
Here are some ideas for creating awesome affirmations.
Make your weight loss affirmations about yourself, not about others. For example, “I am only eating food that is good for me and my weight is reducing.”
Use the words “I am” to start your affirmation. The subconscious takes a statement starting with “I am” as a command. It’ll try to make it happen.
You must use the present tense. Say it like it’s already happened. Like you already have it. “I am feeling light and alive at my perfect weight of 125.”
Make them short and specific. When they’re shorter, they’re easier to remember. Vague affirmations will only give you vague results.
Never say what you don’t want. The mind will still interpret this as something you want. Like “I am not eating unhealthy food,” is wrong. It must be positive, “I am always eating healthy food.”
Use action words and feeling words. For example, I am feeling alive and great with a bodyweight of 128.”
How often should you recite your affirmations?
You should go over your affirmations between 1 and 3 times every day. Best times are first thing in the morning, midday, and before bedtime.
Try to read them out loud if possible.
Say them from your heart with full intention and the expectation they’ll happen.
The more you repeat them like this, the more your faith in achieving them will increase. Don’t give up. Do them every day for 30 days straight and they’ll become automatic. Won’t that be awesome?
Use visualization and imagination as you read your affirmations. Really see yourself being, doing and having what you’re aiming for.
You can really do this and change your life.
I really hope you’ll try writing your own affirmations. Do them every day and believe you can achieve what you desire.
Take your time writing affirmations that really resonate with you. They should make you feel great when you read them out. You should expect to have the change you want.
Here are some examples of weight loss affirmations you can use as a guide to formulate your own. I’ll also include them in this episode’s show notes for your reference.
