Hey, I’m Rick Taylar — author, podcaster, coach, and creator of Weight Loss Mindset.
I’ve spent over 20 years working as a counselor and coach, helping people overcome emotional barriers, change self-sabotaging patterns, and build confidence from the inside out.
Over time, I noticed something powerful. The same mindset principles that transform your relationships and emotions also unlock lasting success with weight loss.
That insight led me to create Weight Loss Mindset, a platform built to help people break free from the exhausting cycle of diets, guilt, and starting over.
Because here’s the truth. Weight loss isn’t just about what you eat or how much you exercise.

After decades of working with clients, I realized most people weren’t struggling because they didn’t know what to do. They were struggling because they couldn’t get themselves to keep doing it.
They didn’t need more motivation.
They needed a mindset reset.
That became my mission — to teach people how to align their thoughts, emotions, and habits so they can finally stop fighting themselves and start making progress that lasts.
Through my Weight Loss Mindset Podcast and the Weight Loss Mindset Hacks book series, I share practical, science-backed strategies to help people reprogram their thinking and make healthy habits feel natural, not forced.
